If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen Debbie Geary (our in-house cantor) in a while, that’s because she is currently on vacation with her family and will be away until February 18th. In her absence, our Youth Choir’s very own Eloise Mascitti and Austin Poirier have so generously (and courageously!) stepped up to cantor for the 9:30 AM Family Mass, for all the Sundays that Debbie is away. Our Youth Choir will also be singing all the hymns during those Sundays (that’s right, not just the Communion hymn!). This has meant a lot more work for the kids – they are so hardworking and generous with their time! If you’d like to take a peek behind the scenes, the Youth Choir rehearses from 8:30-9:20 AM in the lower church, the hour before the Family Mass.

In addition, Eloise will also be cantoring for the 9:00 AM School Mass on Ash Wednesday. I am privileged to have the opportunity to work with such talented and enthusiastic children. Oh, and if your kids want to join our Youth Choir, we are definitely still looking for more members!
